Senior Manager/Associate Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs
About us
Access Partnership is the frontier consultancy getting innovation into market faster across technology, AI, Space and Health. With over 150 experts across six continents, we help clients in government, private sector and industry navigate complex regulatory and policy challenges for the benefit of society.
We are growing globally including building a distinctive offer for clients who need to engage seriously with UK regulators, industry bodies and politicians. We have good momentum and are now looking for an entrepreneurial, politically astute and commercially minded Senior Manager/Associate Director who can help our growth further.
What you can expect to be doing
Senior Manager/Associate Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs UK/ Middle East
You will work with our Director of Government Relations to support client delivery and lead workstreams for clients operating in technology, innovation, defence, space, cyber and related sectors. This role would suit someone who is motivated by growth, enjoys building relationships, can move comfortably between political insight and commercial strategy, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape something.
You should be as comfortable drafting a compelling proposal or client note as you are briefing a senior executive, mapping a stakeholder landscape, developing an engagement strategy, or identifying a new commercial opportunity.
What you will bring
You will have a strong grasp of UK policy and regulation. You’ll understand how policy is made, how politics shapes policymaking, and how businesses can engage credibly and effectively with decision-makers.
Technology sector knowledge and networks
We are particularly interested in candidates who are immersed in the technology sector and understand the policy, regulatory and political debates shaping innovation.
Experience across one or more of the following areas would be highly valuable:
Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
Space and satellite policy
Defence technology and national security
Digital infrastructure and connectivity
Data, platforms, fintech or wider digital regulation
Cybersecurity
In addition, you will be a strong writer, confident presenter and engaging adviser. You should be able to produce clear, compelling and high-quality written work, including proposals, policy briefings, political analysis, stakeholder plans, client reports and thought leadership.
You will also need to be comfortable engaging clients directly, managing workstreams, presenting insight and providing practical advice that links political developments to business impact.
What we offer
This is a rare opportunity to join Access Partnership at an exciting stage in the growth of our business. You will have the chance to work closely with senior leaders, help build a high-profile offer, engage with clients operating at the forefront of technological change, and play a direct role in growing a commercially important part of the business.
The role offers significant visibility, responsibility and development potential. For the right person, this is an opportunity to make a mark — helping to build a practice, shape client strategies, develop a strong market profile and work on some of the most important political and regulatory questions facing the world.
We offer a salary between £60,000 and £85,000, a strong benefits package including healthcare, a flexible working pattern, an excellent London location, global work of genuine impact and benefit to humanity, and a client list the envy of many.
