The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our multi-entity organization. This role requires a motivated and self-starting individual with international experience, strong post-qualification experience, and ideally, proficiency in using Netsuite. The ideal candidate will also have experience organising and dealing with an external audit and preferably experience experience in a leveraged business. We need someone who will be adept at managing a small team to deliver efficient and well controlled processes. There are multiple system and process improvements ongoing and experience driving change is vital.
What you'll do:
- Oversee and manage the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure the effective use of Netsuite for financial reporting and management and to drive more efficient and automated processes.
- Coordinate and manage the external audits at group level, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial reporting as well as timely preparation and to build a relationship with external auditors and advisors.
- Oversee debt financing activities, debt covenant reporting and review, cash flow management and reporting.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making as well as production and review of quality management accounts.
- Preparation of Tax and other external reporting as well as dealing with advisors, payroll providers and other external professionals.
- Lead and develop a small team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.
- Ensure compliance with Private Equity ownership reporting requirements.
What you'll need:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification with approximately 5-10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Extensive international experience in a similar role within a multi-entity organization.
- Proficiency in using Netsuite is essential.
- Strong audit experience, including coordinating and managing audits.
- Experience working within a Private Equity ownership structure is advantageous.
- Proven experience in managing and developing a small finance team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- High level of motivation and the ability to work independently and as part of a team but also to drive getting things done.
