Space and Connectivity:
The Space & Connectivity Practice provides clients with engineering-derived support for technical and regulatory matters. From satellite filings and frequency management, creation and amendment of technical policy, advice on spectrum refarming, and training of regulators on the next generation of technologies, the Practice maintains a range of technical expertise to support any regulatory or policy aspect of telecommunications.
What you’ll do:
As a Senior Manager, you will leverage your subject matter expertise in Technology Policy to deliver significant value to our clients through proposal development, project design and implementation, expert advisory, and relationship management. Understanding both the public policymaking process and tech and digital policy issues faced by corporate Technology, Space and Connectivity businesses across APAC, you will design and provide advisory services on strategy, policy and regulation, at a national, regional and international level.
You will build strong client relationships identify new opportunities and contribute to account growth. It is expected that you will develop a personal, expert brand, representing the expertise of yourself and the company at conferences and external events where opportunities arise.
- Provide strategic advice and innovative solutions to help clients address complex tech and digital policy and regulatory challenges in the areas of telecommunications, broadband, space, connectivity, regulatory and spectrum to allow them to achieve their national, regional or multilateral objectives
- Contribute to the design and delivery of innovative solutions based on industry insights, comparative research
- Build trusted relationships with clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities to drive greater value and impact
- Lead and oversee strategic research and analysis. Direct, develop, and contribute to comprehensive research initiatives, position papers, and policy briefs, ensuring they provide in-depth analysis and critical insights with an aim of influencing key stakeholders and driving business objectives
- Proactively Monitor and Advise on Regional Policy and Regulatory Developments
- Actively monitor, assess, and provide strategic advice on key policy and regulatory matters within the APAC region
- Enhance Regional Public Policy and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to engage with relevant policymakers, regulators, and key stakeholders throughout the Southeast Asia region, and beyond.
- Contribute subject matter expertise to proposals and pitches to win new engagements
- Lead project teams and manage projects to deliver outstanding results for clients, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and performance milestones
- Foster strong collaboration with colleagues across practices to deliver integrated client solutions
- Develop high-impact presentations, reports, proposals, and other client deliverables
- Attend and present at conferences and workshops
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrable subject matter expertise in Telecommunications, Satellite licensing, spectrum licensing, or similar policy and regulation expertise.
- Ideally, previous experience working with ITU, or other telecommunications international bodies.
- Preferable, with knowledge and previous experience with APAC telecommunications and spectrum Regulatory Authorities.
- Extensive experience leading the design and delivery of complex, high-impact policy or regulatory engagements
- Experience with policy-making, regulatory or legal design for telecommunications issues.
- Experience building trusted client relationships, delivering value, shaping high-profile engagements, and contributing to business development
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to senior stakeholders
- Strong project management and, ideally people management experience
