Senior Manager - Economic Strategy and Analysis

We are now expanding our economic analysis capability so that we can offer our clients more comprehensive solutions including of analysis of economic growth potential resulting from our proposed technology proposals.

As a Manager you will lead, manage, and develop a cross functional project team of consultants to successfully meet and exceed client’s expectations and deliver against agreed Key Performance Indicators. Your will be responsible for managing relationships with some of the largest ICT companies in the world. You will be trusted, encouraged, and motivated to deliver the highest standards and make the right decisions that meet needs of the business.

You will take ownership of the end-to-end management and day-to-day execution of client projects while ensuring positive team synergies and ongoing development of individual team members.

Access Partnerships is seeking an intellectually curious candidate with proven leadership skills, economic analysis capability, technical management capabilities, excellent communication skills, and an ability to formulate and present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

What you can expect to be doing

  • Be the go-to person for advice on economic concepts and topics of interest internally and outside the firm
  • Managing all aspects of client projects ensuring that the overall deliverables are met, and client expectations are exceeded
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Matching team member strengths and development opportunities to workstreams.
  • Fostering an inspiring team environment, ensuring team and individual engagement, productivity and development – you will lead and inspire at team and individual levels providing mentoring and support as and when required
  • Proactively developing and maintain network of contacts to create opportunities for Access Partnership with new clients.
  • Managing one to one relations with clients
  • Thought leadership to drive new business outcomes and growth of the business 
  • Engaging in national, regional and international regulatory advocacy 
  • Proactively bring ideas for new lines of work and prospective clients
  • Gathering commercial and competitive intelligence 

What you will bring

  • Background in economics, data analysis or applied quantitative analysis
  • A postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA/Masters/PhD) with a strong academic record
  • Detailed knowledge of economic concepts, strong analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking skills
  • Familiarity with economic models and ability to lead others to create them.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrable influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to formulate and present complex information in a clear and concise manner while recommending to clients the most effective way forward
  • Fluency in a second language would be an advantage
  • Has a deep knowledge of the economy which enables forward thinking.
  • 5+ years of prior work experience, preferably in management consulting or public policy
  • Demonstrable account management experience 
  • Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in your past positions
  • Project and / or Programme management experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organisation
  • Prior experience as a consultant in a professional services firm preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organisation
